Insurance

Many of our cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures are considered "elective" and are not covered by most insurance providers. However, patients are encouraged to call us to discuss their insurance options. We can help you to determine if all or part of your surgery can be covered through your insurance carrier. Call us at (319) 337-3740 for more information.

Introductory Consultation

When you are ready to discuss your plastic or reconstructive surgery options, you will be asked to come meet our surgeons for a 60-minute consultation. Our personalized approach means that you receive one-on-one attention and guidance from our surgeons to help you decide which course of treatment will best help you achieve your goals. We believe this first meeting is a critical step in creating a comfortable relationship between patient and surgeon.

At your consultation, we will answer your questions and educate you on the various procedures available to you. You will also have the opportunity to discuss fees for surgery.

Scheduling Your Procedure

Once a procedure plan is agreed upon by both you and your surgeon, our staff will consult with you to pick a date for your procedure and any related visits (pre and post op appointments). We will do our best to accommodate your schedule.

Surgical Procedures

Most of our procedures occur on an out-patient basis. You will be able to return home, in most cases, the day of your surgery. You must have a responsible adult to drive you home and stay with you for the first 24 hours folowing surgery.

Some of our more extensive procedures require a minimum two-night stay in the hospital. You will be monitored carefully by Mercy Hospital staff who will work closely with your surgeon during your recovery.

Our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to address any concerns you may have during your recovery.
